2018 Southern Tier Heart Walk

Get moving to help our community’s health and your own heart by joining Magic 101.7 and our sister station 102.5 The Vault for the 2018 Southern Tier Heart Walk. It will be held at the SUNY Broome Ice Center on Sunday, April 8, 2018 from 10am – 1:30pm. The Southern Tier Heart Walk is a fundraiser for the American Heart Association.

I have hosted the event for several years and look forward to seeing you there.

All walkers are asked to set a fundraising goal of $300 and official Heart Walk t-shirts are given to those who raise $100 or more. Incentive prizes are available for participants who raise $250 or more. A minimum of $25 in donations is highly encouraged (the day of the event) for all participants 18 years or older.

You can register at www.southerntierheartwalk.org.

Event registration as well as area physical fitness demonstrations, live music and entertainment will begin at 10 am. Check out all of the sponsors’ areas and enjoy food, heart and stroke health education, survivor celebrations, advocacy, kid’s activities and plenty of fun inside and outside the Ice Center!

The walk route is a 1.5 – 3 mile, non-competitive course around the SUNY Broome Community College campus. This walk is rain or shine.

As we get closer to the event, I will have guests in the studio to talk about the walk, the American Heart Association and have some survivors tell their story.
